In cooperation with Dutch ISP's and streaming providers a national overlay CDN was setup to handle the +100Gbps(!) required capacity. StreamZilla founder Stef van der Ziel was the initiator of this approach and StreamZilla is acting as a OverFlow Edge for the protected Windows Media and Silverlight streams.

Although Amsterdam sits on the largest Internet Hub in the world, the massive streaming volumes need to be offloaded to deeper edge servers.
