API'sAPI's
VDO-X offers professional users advanced options to automate their workflow via our standards based API's. Now your CMS or portal can upload assets via secure FTP, check back the availability of assets and live streams, get their CDN URL's via secured XML feeds, delete assets, setup live streams and force distribute them over all available bursting servers.
Navigate to the API menu.
Automated asset ingest To upload assets via FTP or FTP with TLS/SSL, use the FTP servername and your username and password. Streaming assets can be uploaded to the root, downloadable assets have to be uploaded to the wwwroot. You can create subdirectories. Note that this is a drop box: uploaded assets are processed and removed within 5 minutes.
XML Feedback API Integrate your workflow by reading out the contents of our XML Feedback services. Use your username and password to access the feeds. The feeds report which assets/live streams are available, their URL, file size, MD5 hash and your disk quotum. These XML files may not be readable by web browsers: they are intended for Media Asset Management and Portal applications.
SOAP control API The SOAP API offers the same features as the XML Feedback API. The extra features include asset deletion, forced asset distribution and live streams setup. Use your username and password to use the SOAP API.
Secure Token API The Secure Token API allows your CMS or portal to generate unique, encrypted tokens. To block access to an asset or a stream, lock the object via the web interface or the SOAP API. Requests without a correct or expired token are not processed by the CDN for locked objects. Use the provided Token Script(s) and your unique Token ID to generate a token whenever you want to allow a viewer to access the content. Add the token to the CDN URL, and the CDN will grant access.
