Network Operating Center

This page gives an overview of NOC messages including maintenance status overviews.

 

All components in our CDN are monitored permanently. Whenever a issue occurs, such as a crashed service, crashed server, power outage or broken link, our CDN management system is notified immediately. It automatically switches end users to other resources to guarantee the highest possible uptime. 

 

Our NOC staff is alerted immediately as well so any node in our cloud is serviced as fast as possible. All mission critical components have a 24*7*1 SLA status and are setup redundantly.

Update - DoS attack

We have resolved the DoS issue.

Please contact our support department (support@streamzillacdn.com) if you still have problems connecting to or using our Windows Media services.

DoS attack

We are currently experiencing a DoS attack on our main Windows Media server of StreamZillaCDN on the HTTP protocol. We are trying to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Customers with Fallback option in their account should not be affected.

Statistics issue

We are currently experiencing an issue with the updating of the historical statistics for june 2010 for StreamZillaCDN customers. Most of the statistics have been rebuilt, but we are still waiting for the Wowza (RTMP streaming) statistics to be completed. We expect the issue to be resolved this night.

Update - DNS issues

Our DNS provider has sent us an update on the issue:

"The UltraDNS production network is currently incurring an increase in second-level domain (SLD) traffic to multiple nodes, specifically London, UK and Amsterdam, Netherlands, within the UltraDNS infrastructure. The largest increase was to 500 Mb/sec. We have enabled auto-mitigation techniques at several locations to deter the traffic and our Network Engineering teams are engaged."

The issue seems to be resolved at the time of the posting of this update.

We will post another update if there is more to report on the issue.

DNS issues

Due to a service failure of our DNS hosting provider we are currently having difficulties with our services.

This means that resolving hostnames in the domain sz.xlcdn.com vdox.streamzillacdn.com may not be possible for the moment.

Connectivity problems

Due to a fibercut in Malmo (Sweden) connectivity to Nordic ISP's/Networks may be bad at this moment. 
Our connection to all Nordic exchanges is also affected. Traffic is being rerouted over alternate paths. But those paths are congested out of our network in some occasions.

Connectivity problems

We are currently experiencing connectivity problems with one of our core server. Users with fallback server should not have any problems. For other users this means that Windows streaming is offline.

We are working hard to restore the connectivity.
